The Reebok Heroes Celebrity Baseball Game

We play baseball to benefit two great causes: The Mike Modano Foundation and the Little Heroes Foundation.

Two baseball teams, each made up of 10 Celebrity Players and 10 amateurs. Hard-charging, umpires umping, trash-talking, uniform-wearing, managers managing, base-stealing, home run hitting, nine inning, authentic BASEBALL. This ain't no sissy softball game.

The 2008 Game

The Reebok 2008 Heroes Celebrity Baseball Game will be Saturday, June 28, at Dr Pepper Ballpark in Frisco.

The day's festivities begin with the Baylor Medical Center at Frisco Celebrity Home Run Derby at 4 p.m., followed by the Celebrity Game at 6 p.m. Stick around for a fabulous fireworks show after the game, too!

This year's managers will be former major league greats Wade Boggs and Fred Lynn. Boggs, a 12-time All-Star, played 18 seasons in the majors, had a career batting average of .328 and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2005. Lynn was a nine-time All-Star, played 17 years in the bigs and was the American League Rookie of The Year and Most Valuable Player in 1975.

Dallas Star Mike Modano, Mavericks owner Mark Cuban and Cowboys Hall of Famer Michael Irvin will participate, too. For the rosters, click here. For more details, click here.

The Red Sox earned a hard-fought 9-7 win against the Black Sox in the 2007 game. The MVPs were Josh Henderson and Troy Haugen.
