The 2007 Reebok Heroes Celebrity Baseball Weekend will be in full swing Friday, June 22 with the summer’s hottest party Rock & Roses at Dallas’ new music hotspot House of Blues! Rock & Roses, featuring a live performance by the COUNTING CROWS, falls on the eve of the sixth annual Reebok Heroes Celebrity Baseball Game (on Sat., June 23). Celebrities and athletes playing in the game are expected to attend!  Proceeds will benefit the children’s charities of The Heroes Foundation and The Mike Modano Foundation

The Academy Award-nominated Counting Crows are set to perform live at the House of Blues around 10 p.m. The six-member band led by Adam Duritz has recorded a variety of alternative rock/pop hits including “Mr. Jones,” “A Long December,” the much-felt melancholy “Colorblind” from the Cruel Intentions soundtrack, and the more recent pop single “Accidentally in Love” featured in the Shrek 2 soundtrack. Music critics say the Counting Crows’ peak during the 90’s “single-handedly eased radio out of the grunge era.” They continue to tour with names like John Mayer, Live, and the Goo Goo Dolls.

Scheduled to attend (SUBJECT TO CHANGE) are Dallas Stars center Mike Modano; Dallas Cowboys safety Roy Williams; Dallas Cowboys linebacker DeMarcus Ware; former Chicago White Sox outfielder Ben Grieve; former Texas Ranger player Mark McLemore; NBA All-Star and Los Angeles Clippers forward Elton Brand; actor Bryan Greenberg (of the hot new TV series October Road); Dallas-born actor Josh Henderson (Edie’s nephew on Desperate Housewives); brothers Geoff Stults (of TV series October Road  and laugh-out-loud movie Wedding Crashers) and George Stults (of Seventh Heaven); Mavs owner Mark Cuban; brothers Kyle Massey (of That’s So Raven) and Christopher Massey (of Nickelodeon’s Zoey 101); actor Evan Jones (of Lucky You and October Road); Rob Brown (of movies Coach Carter and Take the Lead); drop-dead gorgeous actor Samuel Page (of TV series Shark); and Amaury Nolasco (of TV series Prison Break). Plus, Willa Ford (starring Anna Nicole in the upcoming movie Anna Nicole Smith) will sing the National Anthem.  More celebrities to be announced on June 4th!
