About the 2006 Reebok Heroes Celebrity Baseball Game

The 2006 Reebok Heroes Celebrity Baseball Game features teams made up of 10 celebrity players and 10 amateurs, who will engage in a real baseball contest. The only thing missing will be a pitcher. Taking care of those duties will be a machine that will hurl hardballs at 60 mph.

The fifth-annual Reebok Heroes Celebrity weekend, which has raised approximately $1 million to date, will benefit the children's charities of the Mike Modano Foundation, the Todd Wagner Foundation and the Little Heroes Baseball Field Foundation.

Coached by Baseball Hall of Famer Brooks Robinson and Cincinnati Reds legend Ken Griffey Sr., the VIP baseball wannabees include Dallas Stars center Mike Modano; Dallas Mavericks players Jerry Stackhouse, Jason Terry and Marquis Daniels and Mavs owner Mark Cuban; retired NHL star Brett Hull; Dallas Cowboys Roy Williams and DeMarcus Ware; Kenyon Martin of the Denver Nuggets; Todd Wagner, Carlos Bernard (Tony on Fox’s hit show 24); Heisman Trophy winner and Oakland Raider Tim Brown; Chris Bosh of the Toronto Raptors; and Donnie Nelson, president of basketball operations for the Dallas Mavericks.
