Troy Alexander signs with Santa Clara - 2007-12-12
Heroes alum Troy Alexander of Highland Park has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at Santa Clara (Calif.) University next season.
Alexander (6-1) was point guard on a Highland Park team that went 30-4 and reached the Class 4A state semifinals last season.
“Troy epitomizes the word ‘winner,’ ” Santa Clara coach Kerry Keating said. “His team made it to the state semifinals last year and won 30 games. His summer league team also had a great record, so he knows about winning. He has natural leadership qualities that will carry over to the team next year here. He is also a great student.”
