Coaching, entertainment highlight Special Olympics event - 2007-10-06
Players, coaches and parents from the Heroes Foundation and SMU teams joined Dallas Mavericks president of basketball operations Donnie Nelson and Mavs Man to conduct a basketball clinic for Special Olympics on Oct. 6.
The event was held at the new IAD complex that borders Carrollton and Lewisville. More than 70 participants gathered to learn from Nelson and other coaches. The Special Olympics participants competed in games, watched Mavs Man in action and received instruction from some of DFW's best in coaching.
