Chase Spruiell headed to St. Edward's - 2008-03-31
Heroes alum Chase Spruiell, a 6-6 forward from Princeton High, has committed to play for St. Edward's University in Austin.
"Austin is a great city, and from the start I wanted to go somewhere where I liked the environment. ... And while the city itself was great, the school impressed me even more," Spruiell said. "The academics there are tremendous, and that's what I was looking for."
Last season, Spruiell averaged more than 21 points and almost seven rebounds while leading Princeton to a perfect 14-0 district record and 29-4 mark overall.
Spruiell also considered Southern Arkansas, Abilene Christian, Midwestern State and the University of Denver.
