Four Heroes named to all-state team - 2008-04-04
Congratulations are in order for Heroes Travis Hallam, Troy Alexander, Chase Spruiell and Jeff Georgatos for being named to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches All-State team.
Hallam averaged more than 10 points and four rebounds, leading Mesquite to a 28-7 record, District 12-5A title and state regional semifinal berth. Alexander handed out 244 assists as Highland Park went 31-5, shared the 10-4A crown and made the 4A Final Eight.
Spruiell led 3A Princeton to the 9-3A title, the regional quarterfinals and a 29-4 mark while averaging more than 21 points a game. Georgatos, named to the Private School-Large team, helped Episcopal School of Dallas (24-5) to the SPC Division I state title by averaging almost 15 points and nine rebounds.
